Extraordinary Oil = Extraordinary Hair

I had hoped that the L'Oreal Extraordinary Oil shampoo would be a good dupe for Pureology's Precious Oil but it didn't quite live up to that.

First off, looks...I love the bottles. I love when shampoo bottles are made to stand up on their lids so you can make sure to get every last drop! Kudos for designing them like that as most don't. I also like how the shampoo bottles are clear so you can see how much product is left.

Secondly, product...I enjoyed that it had a nice pleasant scent. Not too perfume-y or chemically. I also liked how it built up a great lather. What I didn't like was the oily consistency of the shampoo. Made me feel like I'm using more than I need to since it jus came out so easily. I tend to like a more creme based thicker shampoo.

Now on to results. I didn't feel like it stripped the natural oils in my hair nor did it make it necessarily more oily. I normally was my hair every othe day but found that using the shampoo required that I had to wash it everyday. My scalp was just a little bit more oily that it felt like there was a build up of product on my scalp. It's that residue feeling that disappointed me. It just never left my scalp feeling clean. Aside from that, my hair was softer and less frizzy.

Overall it's a nice produc but won't replace my current shampoo. I could deal with the shampoo texture/consistency but can't get passed the residue build up on my scalp. I do love the conditioner and the serum. Those are definitely keepers.
